∙ The Better B Team Kirkwood Literacy Lab received the BCALA 2023 Reading is Grand! Celebrating Grand ~ Families, Telling Our Stories Grant. The grant, in the amount of $750 will be used to present a multifaceted program entitled: Binding Families Together Through Books and Quilting. The kickoff celebration will take place on September 5, 2023, and The Grand Parents Day activities will be held on September 11, 2023, at Jones Paideia Elementary Magnet School in Nashville, TN.
On March 28th, 2024, the fifth-grade students will gift the school with a handmade legacy quilt at the closing program. Stay tuned for more news updates.
